Our transparent refund policy for credit pack purchases on PhotoTextEdit, including 14-day refund terms and automatic credit returns.

At PhotoTextEdit, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. We offer a fair, transparent, and user-friendly refund policy designed to protect our users while accounting for the irreversible GPU computation costs involved in AI image editing.

1. 14-Day Refund Window for Unused Credits

If you purchased a credit pack within the last 14 days, you are eligible for a cash refund on any unused credits from that pack:

  • Full Refund: If you have not used any credits from your purchased pack, you will receive a 100% full refund of the purchase price.
  • Pro-Rata Refund: If you have used a portion of the credits, we will calculate the refund proportionally based on the exact per-credit rate you paid. For example, if you bought a $14.90 pack (40 credits) and used 5 credits, your remaining 35 credits will be refunded ($13.03).
  • Post-14 Days: After 14 days from purchase, credit packs become non-refundable in cash. However, purchased credits never expire and remain in your account indefinitely for future use.

2. Automatic Credit Returns for Failed Generations

If an AI edit generation fails due to a technical error, timeout, or upstream provider issue:

  • The reserved credit is automatically refunded back to your account balance immediately.
  • No manual support ticket or request is required.
  • You can freely retry the edit or try another image without losing any credits.

3. Used Credits & Output Satisfaction

  • Non-Refundable Used Credits: Credits that have already been successfully consumed by completed AI generations represent non-recoverable cloud compute and GPU costs, and cannot be refunded in cash.
  • Free Trial Check: Every new user receives a free trial credit upon registration specifically so you can inspect output quality, font matching, and texture blending before deciding to purchase a credit pack.
  • Artistic Variance: Because generative AI models interpret surrounding lighting, perspective, and font styles adaptively, minor stylistic variance does not qualify for a cash refund. However, if you believe a system bug corrupted your image, contact us and our team will gladly review your case.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund on your unused credits:

  1. Send an email to support@phototextedit.com.
  2. Use the subject line: Refund Request — [Your Account Email].
  3. Include your order ID or Stripe receipt number.

We review and process eligible refund requests within 3 business days. Once approved, Stripe will return the funds to your original payment method (typically appearing on your card statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank).

5. Violations of Acceptable Use

No refunds will be granted for accounts or transactions that intentionally violate our Acceptable Use Policy (e.g., submitting illegal, forged identity documents, or prohibited NSFW content).
